Silver Lourdes Medal By Jean Blanche of Paris Circa 1880, 3 centimetres Diameter, 8 grams
This is a beautiful medal of The Virgin Mary with the depiction of the appearance at the grotto at Lourdes on the obverse. It bears two marks. One is the Crab mark which is the small guarantee of solid silver in France and the second is the maker's mark for Jean Blanche who was a silversmith in Paris around 1876.
