Antique Christian Rosary, French, Hand Cut Art Glass Pale Blue Beads, Silver Cross and Link Medal with Silver Lourdes Pilgrimage Medal
Such a pretty and delicate rosary made with pale blue art glass beads. It is very unusual as it was made as a 2.8 decade rosary so it has 35 beads. I have studdied it closely, as most rosaries are 5 decade with some at 4 and some at 15 but this is the first I have seen like this. There are no broken or repaired links and no places where beads should have been so it must have been made like this.
The cross is a really lovely silve filligree cross. The cross measures 3 x 2 cm and is hallmarked silver.
The link medal is the Marian symbol to represent The Virgin Mary.
Attached is a silver medal of a pilgrimage to the grotto at Lourdes.
