Art Deco Rosary, Solid Silver Cross, Links and Chain, Hand Made, Rock Crystal Beads, Hallmarked, Circa 1925
A beautiful and superb quality sterling silver and rock crystal rosary that was made in France around 1925.
Each bead is multi faceted and they are all rock crystal, also known as quartz crystal or gem crystal is mined from the earth. Rock crystal has more silicone dioxide than manmade crystal; it is heavier. They catch the light wonderfully and it sparkles as it moves. The silver of the shaft shines through each perfect bead and gives a stunning effect. The beads are 6mm long and 6mm wide and each one is individually capped in silver, a sure sign of quality.
Each of the Our Father beads is 1 centimetre in diameter.
The stunning link medal measures 15mm by 10mm.
The cross is also solid silver and large at 5 x 3.2 centimetres. It is a full five decade rosary and is 48 cm in length.
It is in absolutely brilliant condition with very little signs of wear although the original Corpus Christi is missing, hence the low price for this fabulous rosary.
