Antique Silver Rosary, French With Hand Cut Aurora Borealis Beads Five Decade, Original Mother of Pearl Case, By Alfred Eugène Souville 1882
There is so much to say about this wonderful five decade silver and glass bead rosary. Firstly it was made by the Paris jeweler Alfred Eugène Souville in 1882. It bears his mark and both the link medal and superb cross are hallmarked.
It is very difficult to photograph the beads and show how they sparkle in the light, the effect is stunning. This beautiful rosary is in perfect condition.
It comes complete with a lovely mother of pearl case in pearlescent white with an ornate bronze fitting and clasp.
The cross measures 3.5 x 2 centimetres. The link medal is 1.5 x 1.5 and the whole rosary is 41 centimetres in length and fits perfectly into the case.
