This is a beautifully delicate rosary exquisitely made and it is so small at just 34 cm long, including the cross, even though it is a full five decades
Each garnet bead has been individually carved and strung and held into place on the silver chain and the cross is made from silver while the 'Our Father' beads are small works of art in silver. The beads sparkle so beautifully in the light.
The link medal is a puffed heart with the crown of thorns around it.
It fits perfectly into its lovely Antique Child's Rosary, Garnet and Silver Beads, Silver Chain and Cross, Cloisonné Case rosary case that is just 4 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm
This is a really lovely rosary and in perfect condition and very unusual, I have never seen anything like it.
The box was almost certainly made in Limoges, one of the great centres for enamel and cloisonne work in France.
Because of its size it is very difficult to show how much detailthere is on each of the Our Father beads and the link medal.
It would make the perfect communion present of grace any rosary collection.
