Antique Copper Pot, French, Completely Hand Made Heavy Pot with Iron Handle 31 x 35 x 23 Centimetres, Beautiful Condition
An absolute treasure. This stunning heavy hand made copper pot was made in the middle of the 19th century and has been resident at the Chateau Roque near Agen in France since it was made.
As you can see from the photos of the interior, this beautiful pot was actually used for a long time at the chateau.
Obviously the chateau had a fair few pots and this one clearly did not get an awful lot of use which is why it is in such splendid condition.
It is made from thick copper which has been beaten over an iron base The iron handle is hand forged and every part of this pot has been hand made.
When I say it is heavy - it weighs 3.3 kilos so it is a very substantial piece.
It measures 31 centimetres across the top while the base is 32 centimetres and it stands 23 centimetres tall, not including the handle.
