This beautiful Art Nouveau medal of Our Blessed Mother The Virgin Mary has the Grotto scene from Lourdes on the reverse and to enhance its esteem even more it was designed by the famous medal designer Tairac and it bears his signature on the reverse. Tairac who worked during the late nineteenth to early twentieth century for the finest companies such as Arthus Bertrand, Fix, Murat and Oria.
The medal is in excellent condition with no rubs or scuffs and is very large at 2.5 x 2 centimetres. In total, including the 19 centimetre chain, it weighs a full 6.1 grams.
