A stunning hallmarked silver rosary. It is a five decade and each bead is silver.

This is a superb quality rosary. Each of the 'Our Father' medals measures 0.8 centimetres in diameter and, remarkably, they are all different but each one is beautifully made. The detail is amazing with all of the halos in gold. Each one has an open bible laid over a cross on the reverse.

The link medal is of The Virgin Mary holding Jesus and is blank on the reverse. It measures 1.3 centimetres in diameter.

Attached is a beautiful medal depicting 'Our Lady of Sorrows' and presumably represents a pilgrimage to Rome. It measures 2.3 centimetres in diameter.

The whole rosary measures 46 cm in length and weighs 29.8 grams of solid silver.

The wonderfully detailed cross measures 3.5 cm by 2.2 cm

I cannot make out the maker's mark but I would estimate its age as late 19th century and it is fully hallmarked with the boar's head which is the French assay office mark denoting solid 925 silver.
