Antique Catholic Rosary, Lovely Opaline Beads, Solid Silver Cross, Link and Chain, Puffed Link Medal and Cross With J M, Circa 1880
A beautifully made and strung art nouveaux rosary made in France in the late 1800s.
This is a five decade rosary.
It has a beautiful maille chain and the silver heart link is puffed and has a raised cross on each side. The lovely cross is also puffed and there is no damage to either.
Each of the beads has three silver dots inset and these dots represent The Holy Trinity, The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. Rare and unusual.
The link medal measures 1 x 1.2 cm while the cross is 3.5 x 2.2 cm.
The whole rosary measures 38 cm in length is in excellent condition and weighs 29.4 grams.
