Antique Bracelet, Silver Chain With Gold Washed Silver Medal Of The Virgin Mary, 11 Pearls, Bracelet Length 17 cm, Total Length 20 cm

This beautiful delicate bracelet has eleven pearls, each with a diameter of about 3mm.

It is light and delicate and would have been made for a child or a woman with a slim wrist as the total bracelet length is 17cm.

The medal is exquisite and is silver with a depiction of the Our Blessed Mother the Virgin Mary on one side and blank on the reverse. Originally it had a gold wash but over the many decades of use most of the gold has rubbed away. It has the boar hallmark which denotes 925 silver and a maker's mark but as it is so old the maker's mark is impossible to read.

This pretty medal is 1.2 x 1.2 cm.

This lovely bracelet, I believe, dates from the mid to late 19th century.
