This beautiful set of four prints are in large format 33 x 28 centimetres on superb quality card and ready to frame. They come from the private collection of Eugene Dubillon.
They were created exclusively to be given only to the most favoured of the clients of Le Bon Marche and, consequently are extremely rare as individual prints and, as far as I am aware, do not exist elsewhere as a complete set. Each was printed by Dujardin & Cie who were a Parisian publishing and printing firm located at 43 Rue Blanche, active during the first quarter of the 20th century. In 1908, it published deluxe illustrated works—such as P. Planat’s *Habitations particulières* (first series, private mansions)—described as sumptuously printed and illustrated with numerous plates in black or color.
The first is L'enfance (Childhood) by Nicolas Lancret (1690 - 1743) which comes from his series The Four Ages of Man
The second is 'Une Matinee' (A morning - The Dance of The Nymphs) by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (1796–1875)
Third is 'Les Vendangeurs' (The Harvesters) J.F. Millet
Fourth 'Les Agréments de l’été) by Antoine Watteau
