This beautiful solid bronze Corpus Christi is in the medieval style, reminiscent of the work of Johannes Hartmann the German sculptor but this one was made in France at one of the superb religious workshops surrounding Lourdes.
It is completely hand made as can be seen from the file marks on the reverse of the Corpus Christi.
It is pierced at the top to accept a cord or ring for wall hanging.
