This item is a vintage French promotional chromolithograph postcard titled "Mes Débuts artistiques" (My Artistic Beginnings) issued by the famous Parisian department store Au Bon Marché (Maison Aristide Boucicaut, Paris) around 1900–1910
The reason why these lovely booklets are so rare is that they were handed out to parents and children who visited the department store and for each one that was completed and handed back into the shop the child received a present. A very sneaky way of getting the children to drag their parents back to the shop.
It obviously worked very well as there are precious few of these booklets that exist and certainly not unused as these are.
Each booklet has 4 pages and illustrations inside for the children to copy.
