Vintage Crucifix in the style of Dominique Piechaud, Medieval Style French, Silver Corpus Christi on Hand Carved Ebony Cross
Dominique Piechaud was a very famous sculptor working in a medieval style in Limoges France for over 60 years until his death in 2011 and this beautiful small cross is very reminiscent of his work.
This beautiful crucifix dates from around 1950 and it is completely hand made.
The work is just wonderful and the moment I saw it at an antique fair I had to have it.
The photographs say it all as to just how remarkable this crucifix is and it would grace any Christian home. It measures 8.5 x 6 cm and has a has a ring on the reverse of the cross so that it can be wall hung.
