A wonderful example of a 19th century velvet back French Benitier or Holy Water font. The weight is the first thing that testifies to its quality as it is substantial. The beautiful detail of the thorned cross and the figure of Jesus Christ also scream quality. Along with the excellent casting of the font itself.

Other than the minimal wear from age the cross and figure are in excellent condition.
